Instructions:
Aquavascular Phosphate (PO4) freshwater test kit :
Pros and cons of high and low phosphates:
Phosphate is a major macronutrient essential for plants. Phosphate enters the aquarium through external sources like supply water, fish food, phosphate fertilizers and buffers. Supplementing phosphate fertilizer is essential in aquaria and so is maintaining the optimum levels. Phosphate is harmless to fish at optimum levels, but high concentrations can promote algal growth. Most commonly seen algae include Blue green algae, filamentous algae, thread algae and green spot algae. These algae alter the pH and reduce oxygen availability.
How to manage phosphate levels?
Water Changes: Performing routine water changes helps dilute phosphate levels in the aquarium. Aim for weekly water changes of around 30-50% of the total volume.
Proper feeding: Feed your fish only what they consume within a few minutes.
Regular aquarium maintenance: Clean your aquarium substrate, filter media routinely to remove debris.
If phosphate is too low, then use Aquavascular P- Boost fertilizer.
Instructions for Phosphate test:
- Take 5 ml of aquarium water into the test vial.
- Add 8 drops of Solution PO4-1 and mix for 10 seconds.
- Add 8 drops of Solution PO4-2 and mix for 10 seconds.
- Place the test vial against the color chart to obtain reading.
Note:
- Keep out of reach of children!
- Do not shake the bottle before use.
- The use of protective gloves is recommended. In case of eye contact wash thoroughly with water or seek medical expert.
- Please read the instructions carefully before using.
Instructions:
Aquavascular Ammonia (NH4+) freshwater test kit:
Ammonia is crucial for initiating the nitrogen cycle and providing nutrients for aquatic plants; hence it is essential to manage and control its levels to prevent toxicity to fish and maintain a harmonious aquascape ecosystem. Elevated ammonia levels contribute to poor water quality, collapse of fishes and invertebrates, algal growth and yellowing/ browning in plants.
How to manage Ammonia levels?
Water Changes: Performing routine water changes helps dilute ammonia levels in the aquarium. Aim for weekly water changes of around 30-50% of the total volume.
Maintain efficient filtration: Use properly sized filter to provide adequate filtration.
Use beneficial bacteria.
Use Aquavascular AIO Care for removing ammonia.
Monitor ammonia levels with a reliable kit. Use Aquavascular Ammonia (NH4+) freshwater test kit for reliable results.
Instructions for Ammonia test:
- Take 5 ml of aquarium water into the test vial.
- Add 10 drops of Solution NH4-1 and mix for 10 seconds.
- Add 10 drops of Solution NH4-2 and mix for 10 seconds.
- Allow to stand for 15 minutes and notice the color change
- Place the test vial against the color chart to obtain reading.
Note:
- Keep out of reach of children!
- Do not shake the bottle before use.
- The use of protective gloves is recommended. In case of eye contact wash thoroughly with water or seek medical expert.
- Please read the instructions carefully before using.
Instructions:
Aquavascular Nitrite (NO2-) and Nitrate (NO3-) freshwater test kit:
Pros and cons of high and low nitrites/nitrates:
The presence of nitrite indicates inefficient biological filtration. Excess nitrates can lead to fish fatalities by compromising their immunity and low nitrate can cause deficiency symptoms like yellowing and stunting in plants.
How to manage nitrate levels?
Water Changes: Performing routine water changes helps dilute nitrate levels in the aquarium. Aim for weekly water changes of around 30-50% of the total volume.
Proper feeding: Feed your fish only what they consume within a few minutes.
Biological filtration: Use efficient filter in aquarium to convert nitrites into nitrates. Use filter media that promotes beneficial bacteria growth.
Check water parameters routinely.
Use Aquavascular AIO Care to reduce nitrites and nitrates in your aquarium to achieve safe levels.
Instructions for Nitrite and Nitrate test:
- Take 5 ml of aquarium water into the test vial.
- For Nitrite estimation, add 5 drops of NO3--1 solution and mix gently. If pink color appears then compare it with the provided color chart. If pink color does not appear then proceed with nitrate test.
- To the same test vial add another 5 drops of NO3--1 solution again and mix gently.
- Then add 10 drops of NO3--2 solution. (Note: Shake the NO3--2 solution vigorously for 1 minute continuously before use.). Mix well and wait for 5 minutes before placing the test vial against the color chart.
Note:
- Keep out of reach of children! The use of protective gloves is recommended. In case of eye contact wash thoroughly with water or seek medical expert.
- Please read the instructions carefully before using.
